Welcome

So after a long time considering this whole blog thing, I've decided to do it. I've excused myself from writing for fear of not being read, but that's a fake excuse. It's really something much more deep seeded than fear of not being read--it's more a fear of being read and people not liking what was said. But I can't indulge in these fears because self expression is too important. So it starts here. I'm going to go ahead and post some of my fiction and poetry. I hope that you comment on anything that strikes your fancy.

A side note: thanks to Derek and James for a little bit of encouragement to do this whole thing.
